Training halls [pre-graduation]
Area tag: Map_M1Q0B
Next stop: Graduation Chamber
Monsters: None
Exits:
Before you continue to the graduation ceremony, be sure to loot the chest next to hewitt for some ranged weapons, and the chest near Jaloo for some spells.
Don't forget to put your mouse over the map to see the traps and chests!
Olgerd
Talk to Olgerd to get a tutorial about managing your inventory and working with shops.
Alternatively, you can skip this, though if this is your first time playing Neverwinter Nights, i recommend that you go through it. after you finish talking to Olgerd you should have a starting armor in your inventory and the door to the rest of the map will open..
Berna
Again, if this is your first time playing, talk to Berna to get an explanation on working with the journal and the map. Otherwise just ignore her completely.
Class specific training.
- Depending on your class, you will need to find one of the trainers and complete the task they give you before you can go on to the graduation. Melee classes such as Fighters and Monks should talk to Herban, who will tell you to go to dendy and hewitt to train with both close and long range weapons.
- Rogue classes like thieves and bards should go see Ketta, you need to either convince her guard to give you the key, steal it from him, or get it out of the chest in the other room. be carefull, the door to the room is trapped, not the chest!
- Mage classes such as Sorcerers and Mages should go talk to Jaroo, loot the chest for some scrolls, and either write them to your spellbook or use them directly to destroy the statue.
- Finally, Druids and Rangers should go see Elwynd. i don't know what task he has, since i never play druids, and rangers can do the fighters task as well.
- On a last note, some characters can do more the one task. Rangers can do both the fighters as the ranger/druid task, and Bards can go to either Jaloo or Ketta. if this is your first time playing, i reccomend you see them all, even though you only need to complete one task they will give you an explanation on their respective skills, wich can be valuable information since all skills can be used by all classes, though you need to invest more points if the skill is not a class skill.
For example, Rangers, Rogues and Monks only need to put one point in the Hide skill to level it up, since it is a class skill for them. Fighters can also use hide, but will need to put 2 skill points in hide to raise it by 1. Also, non-class skills can only be leveled to half that of the class skills, so if you can get your class skills to level 12, you will only be able to get non class skills to level 6.
