Loot the two desks behind aribeth before leaving for some basic items.

Aribeth

When you talk to aribeth she will congratulate you on completing your learning period, as she is speaking though, she will say that the academy is under attack, after wich 4 mages will spawn, one in each corner of the room. This battle should not be too hard since the mages will waste their spells on the other graduates first, and aribeth is strong enough to kill them all by herself. i suggest you do try to kill as much mages as you can, simply because of the experience.
